Welcome to Mixopedia, the premier source of rote and hopefully not so rote information about anything and eventually everything related to recording, mixing, mastering, and producing audio.
This is an old revision of the document!
To edit Mixopedia you must first have an account at the recpit.net forums. If you're logged in there you should be logged in here. You must have cookies enabled.
To edit a page, simply go to the page and click the Edit button on the right hand side. It should be the uppermost of four buttons. Make sure you visit the Syntax Guide if you're going to edit any page formatting. Or you could just write whatever you want and someone else can format it later.
To create a new page you must visit the future address of the page with a dead link, like this: deadlink. Notice that the link is red. This means that the page hasn't been created yet.
Add a link to your future page to a list. See the List of Lists. The format is:
[[yourpagename|Displayed Text]]
Use two backslashes after the link to force a new line if needed.
Example: [[shuresm57|Shure SM57]]\\
Hit save. Once your link is created, click on it. It will tell you the page doesn't exist, but you may create it with the button on the right hand side.
You might also find a dead link in an article, meaning that the page is expected to be created at some point. Once finished please add a link to your page on an appropriate list as detailed above, even if it's the Uncategorised List.
What should we name our page? u47 u-47 u_47 neumann_u47 neumannu-47 tfunku47 etc.
The clearest way to name would be neumannu47.
