Re: Knowledge Is Power
You just have to put the video ID by itself in the tags, so in:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INMpsFfhaVk
or
https://youtu.be/INMpsFfhaVk
The video ID would be INMpsFfhaVk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INMpsFfhaVk

Re: Knowledge Is Power
Then to throw another wrench into the works, there's the "dead internet theory", stating that the majority of what looks to be human on the internet is actually generated by AI. It may not be here yet, but I wouldn't think there's any preventing it. At which point, how does anyone know wha...

Re: Knowledge Is Power
Very poignant. It looks like after all the only option is joining the ranks of internet entrepreneurs ('hustle culture' they're calling it). Even when I search for info on G--gle, all that seems to come up these days is copy-paste websites obviously made for ad-bucks. They all follow the same format...

Introducing: Mixopedia
Mixopedia I figured it'd be neat to have a dedicated, permanent place to put information. It's like wikipedia, but for audio junk. One great thing about it is it'll be permanent. Even if this site ever ceases to exist (I don't plan on it), the files can very easily be transferred to someone else. Y...

Yes it used to take ages. I think I might just copy-paste it here at some point. If Slippy minds he can come knock my door down.

Acoustics and Mic Positioning Comparisons & Examples
Given that home recordistas like me often don't have access to or experience with different spaces, especially nice large ones, I think a thread devoted to the available examples of such would be cool. I just found out about this one. You can select which orchestra instrument you'd like to hear and ...

Still listening. You know it's good when you slowly move through the songs, having a new favourite every few weeks.

You weren't kidding. This one clicked right away for me as well. I better stop listening before I wear it out, albums like this don't come out too often from anybody.

Re: Ohms
Seriously? I guess I'll have to check it out... Last album I bought was Koi No Yokan. Got to meet them all at the grand opening of a Zia Records in Phoenix, or at least shake their hands and say hi. Chino liked my shirt! Hahaha That album definitely grew on me after a few listens, but I don't really...

Re: So what are you doing now, with all this extra time?"
I just plugged in my DX7 for the first time in a while. Paid $30 at a thrift store a couple years ago. So far it's all tines, tine variations, and sounds which might as well be tines. I'm not even sure what a tine is. Alright, apparently it's the pokey bit of a fork. That's nice.

Re: MOTU 828x interface troubles - anyone have any ideas?
Sick beat. I'd say it has developed a mind of its own and is studying to be a producah. That's a tough one...my only guess would be some startup failure causing it to continuously try to reboot. Since your computer is off at the time I'd say not much hope of fixing it without sending it back to them.

I'm OK. We're a bit beyond "interesting" at this point.
The forum, however, seems to be on a gammy leg. I think I should rename it the RecPit Audio Bunker.

Re: So what are you doing now, with all this extra time?"
I ordered one of those Zoom H2 mini recorders so I can send roughs of what we're doing to the other guys. What we're doing right now doesn't really warrant firing up the whole studio rig for just practice tapes - and running the Studer and console would about double my electric bill. Speaking of su...

I've heard one of the biggest problems is kids transmitting it to their grandparents.
A good tip is to make sure you get good/plenty of sleep. I think your immune system gets degraded by something like half if you don't.
