Hello guys and girls,
I think I came up with an original-ish idea how to record electric guitar.
You take a DI and place it between the power amp out and the speaker, and put a convolution reverb with an Impulse response of a speaker on it afterwards.
This might be especially interesting for you folks in the trenches doing live recordings under difficult conditions, as there are no mics to be knocked around and there's no bleed.
I made a short video on this:
I'm planning to do more videos for this channel in the future, which will revolve around my take on practicing, learning and music mindset in general.
I have no interesting original material for further recording episodes, I fear. :-)
If you want to give me a hand, feel free to share this video.
I chose an admittedly click-baitey title, but I don't feel that I underdeliver...
all the best,
Gereon
PS For a guitarist, I'm such a wuss when it comes to volume.
This amp can't have put out much more than 95db...
