Well, in my case I share a house with my lead guitarist, Bob Clic, and we've been working a bit most days to work up more "country classics" for the band when things improve enough for us to get back together. So far we've got an additional set worked out with more on the way, including a couple of songs I've loved since I was a little kid - "Lonely Blue Boy from Conway Twitty back in his rockabilly days and ":Singin' The Blues" by Marty Robbins (Which was covered by Black Oak Arkansas back when they were a "thing". I had remembered the latter nearly verbatim from my childhood - didn't even need to look up the chords! The Twitty number was a bit more wok since the chord progression is slightly odd for a country/rockabilly number and Twitty alternates between a higher midrange voice with a bit of bite to it and a lower chest register "Elvis style" baritone mumble/growl. Fun tune.

I'm fortunate that Bob's here, since I don't really like playing or singing by myself - I need someone there to bounce stuff off of.

I ordered one of those Zoom H2 mini recorders so I can send roughs of what we're doing to the other guys. What we're doing right now doesn't really warrant firing up the whole studio rig for just practice tapes - and running the Studer and console would about double my electric bill.

I also need to get my Studer guy down here for a general tune-up once things loosen up a bit.

So what about you guys? Anyone doing anything?

I have a 388 too, though the transport hasn't been working for like a year or so now. I like it, but haven't considered it a top priority to get fixed yet, though I do plan to in the future when it's convenient.

I've been picking up my guitar again, and hoping to record some songs that I've written but have never gotten around to recording with my downtime.

It's wonderful, even if it rarely turns out anything usable. But it seems like music is going to be just for fun for the forseeable future anyway, so...

I just plugged in my DX7 for the first time in a while. Paid $30 at a thrift store a couple years ago. So far it's all tines, tine variations, and sounds which might as well be tines. I'm not even sure what a tine is. Alright, apparently it's the pokey bit of a fork. That's nice.

Tines are also the round part of a note mechanism on a Fender Rhodes that gets struck by ther hammer. The other, larger, flat part is the tone bar. Together they comprise an asymmetrical tuning fork.
