How to mike a double bass
And pretty good separation from the vocal -- the bass sounds like it has enough attack that I think you'd hear some faux tape slap on it if that weren't the case.

My experience has been that basses are all over the map as to how best to record them.
that's also inside EMI Studio 2... everything sounds good from farther away than you'd imagine in that room.

Those rooms were designed to make it easy for musicians to hear each other and for really clean bleed. Sound reflected off the wall was tested and adjusted for flat response. Motown's Hitsville studio in Detroit was designed by RCA to have that character. The old RCA studio A here in Nashville is also one of those designs although I've been told it got screwed up some later on in an attempt to make it sound more "country."
Also. No k in the word microphone.

Actually, mike is correct and should not be confused with the abbreviation mic. that is used to save panel space.
I figured I could use 'mike' because Bob was getting away with it. At least, up until now.

I copied that from the internet. Keks can tell you what it means, I Kant.
And there is clearly no 'c' in Spannungsänderungen
